Each year, OSSGA’s Property Enhancement and Safety Innovation Awards celebrate aggregate operations that go beyond basic site requirements to create spaces that are safe, well‑maintained and visually appealing. The 2025 winners were recognized at this year’s Operations, Health and Safety Seminar in Mississauga.
The award highlights companies that invest in thoughtful site design, cutting-edge safety solutions, improved community presence and strong environmental practices. These enhancements aren’t just aesthetic — they support safer, more efficient operations and contribute positively to surrounding communities.

While Caledon Sand and Gravel’s Safety Innovation Award-winning Rock Truck Dump Hopper Risk Assessment proved to be a novel initiative that improved health and safety for employees on its aggregate sites.
Fundamentally, these awards reflect a broader commitment shared across OSSGA’s membership: operating in a way that respects the land, protects the environment and strengthens relationships with local communities.
These projects show what responsible aggregate development can look like — combining operational needs with thoughtful stewardship and attention to detail.
