"OSSGA is very pleased with the results," said association CEO Moreen Miller. "We have been engaged in many partnerships over the years and this is perhaps one of our biggest success stories to date."
The bulk of the funds came directly from a live auction of paintings created onsite by popular speed painter Dan Dunn during the association’s gala dinner on February 28. The remainder of the proceeds came from charity raffle sales over the three-day event. Of the grand total, $5,000 was donated by an OSSGA member company in memory of the late OSSGA past president David Arnill.
Representatives from OSSGA, including the Chair of the Board of Directors Ryan Essex and board member James Gordon, as well as the Mayor of Huntsville Claude Doughty, presented a cheque to the foundation on March 19 at 11:45 a.m. at the Huntsville Town Hall (37 Main St. East).
