Just after she gave the welcoming speech to attendees at the Rehab Symposium, MNRF Minister Kathryn McGarry took time to meet with Board members at the University of Guelph last week. Topics covered included the recently announced increase to the aggregate levy, and our concerns with the co-ordinated plan, particularly the change to the policy which permitted extraction within a natural heritage system when the producer demonstrates compliance with ESA requirements. OSSGA will continue to take this issue up with MMA Minister Bill Mauro who now has overall responsibility for this file.
