Fowler Construction Receives Environmental Achievement Award from OSSGA

BRACEBRIDGE, ON, March 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Fowler Construction is pleased to announce it has received the Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association’s (OSSGA) prestigious Environmental Achievement Award for their Sage Creek valley plan adjacent to their Child’s Pit location in Bracebridge, Ontario.

Studies Show Pits & Quarries Pose No Threat to Drinking Water

OSSGA is pleased to release the findings of two studies which conclude that aggregate extraction operations have no adverse effects on municipal drinking water supplies.

In a detailed report released October 4, Golder Associates Ltd. concluded that cumulative effects of quarries on groundwater, drinking water wells, wetlands and water flows in creeks and rivers "are expected to be negligible."

OSSGA Student Design Competition 2011 Winners on Display in Cambridge

The top six projects from OSSGA’s 2011 Student Design Competition will be on display at the Common Ground exhibition, Lamb’s Inn, on rare Charitable Research Reserve -- a 900-plus-acre protectorate minutes from downtown Cambridge from July 6 - September 30.
